Our Story

The Drama Department at Saint Maur International School offers classes and extracurricular activities for Grades 6 - 12. All students take one semester of drama in Grades 6 and 7. They then have the option to further their study of drama through the Grade 8 options class, IGCSE Drama in Grades 9 and 10, and IB Literature and Performance in Grades 11 and 12. Students can also audition for the annual Middle School or High School production, as well as the Speech Contest team. Every year there is also a High School and Middle School Drama Festival where students can work with peers from other international schools in the Kanto region. There are plenty of opportunities to develop technical and design skills as well, such as lighting, sound, costume, props and stage management. In addition, the Drama Department offers an Adult Enrichment Drama Club every other week for parents connected to Saint Maur who are interested in developing their acting skills. This club performs once a year to the community. As you can see, drama is for everyone!
